A Report Back from Tohoku -- Perspectives from Atsuko Toko Fish, Co-founder of Japanese Disaster Relief Fund - Boston

One month after the 9.0 magnitude earthquake and tsunami, Atsuko Fish and her daughter, Emily Fish, traveled to Japan to understand the extent of the devastation and assess needs. Join Atsuko and Emily on a discussion about the current situation in Northern Japan. In addition, the Advisory Committee members of the Japanese Disaster Relief Fund – Boston will provide an update of the fund’s activities to date and one of the grantee organizations, Boston Japan Medical Relief Initiative, will share their work in Tohoku.
Food and refreshments will be served.

Japanese Disaster Relief Fund - Boston
The Japanese Disaster Relief Fund – Boston (JDRFB) was created as a local vehicle for giving to aid those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
This Fund is a unique collaboration among three nonprofit organizations: the Boston Foundation, The Japan Society of Boston and the Fish Family Foundation. Our expertise in grant making and our networks in Japan enable us to make direct impact grants to organizations and communities with the greatest need.
